Michelob Ultra: Beer For NYC
Michelob Ultra took golf to the extremes with a one-shot challenge on a floating barge in NYC. PGA Champion Brooks Koepka attempted to sink a shot across the bay, and we captured it all with drones and on-site activation. The event generated buzz across the city and left fans with a cold one to enjoy.
Michelob Ultra was a major sponsor of the tournament and wanted to engage local fans – read all of NYC – through an act of love. They tapped PGA Champion Brooks Koepka to take one shot for an entire city. And what it shot it was. We built a custom floating barge, flew drones, took over Governors Island and ran the on-site activation with real-time social capture as Brooks tried to sink a shot across the bay.
The production, as well as the shot, was ambitious. We ran the event from creation to completion in a month. When it came to post-production, we went to work to get our clients assets to use within 24 hours of the shoot. Everyone was engaged and the city went home with a cold one.
